  • November 13, 2008 - Engineering-Chemistry Collaboration Recognized by the Association for Laboratory Automation

    A paper to be presented at the 2009 Association for Laboratory Automation (ALA) conference in Palm Springs, CA entitled "A General Method for Screening Protein-DNA Interactions using Label-Free Photonic Crystal Biosensor Microplates" by L.L. Chan, M. Pineda, J. Heeres, P.J. Hergenrother, and B.T. Cunningham has been chosen as a Top Candidate for the ALA Innovation Award. The ALA Innovation Award recognizes the top 10 podium presentations at the Lab Automation conference that display innovation and extraordinary vision (www.labautomation.org). The final award winner will be selected by a judging panel during the conference. Top Candidate papers are invited to travel to Frankfurt, Germany in May 2009 to present their work at the ACHEMA 2009 Conference (International Exhibition-Congress on Chemical Engineering, Environmental Protection and Biotechnology), and are invited to submit a manuscript to the Journal of the ALA.
